Reform, Evangelical, EPC (like this denomination), nice style of music, small church (you will feel the love when you go there.
Strength: friendly and family feel. You will feel the love right away, very cool.
Weakness: Don't let the family feel fool you, you will have to most likely be here atleast a year before you can consider yourself part of the inner group.
If you patience and can go slow, (I am too asstertive), this is a great place, just go slow and you will get involved.
The music is comtempory musci with a definite acoustic feel to it.

Like the previous writer, I think it's a friendly church. It depends on what you mean by "inner circle". There seems to be a higher value on involvement in a service or mission group or class than most churches and there are plenty of opportunities. The people do seem very busy, though. Music is great. Service is deep and varied. The pastor seems to expect people to think pretty deeply, so if you like drama or a show this isn't the place to go. The church is small (about 100) and the pastor seems a bit overloaded on Sundays - possibly because they're do things larger churches usually do. I appreciate the emphasis on serving and bringing faith to the real world.

Hi Mike,
Thot I was the only one on the Eastside that looked at Church Rater.
Wife and I attended last year for about 3 months. Perhaps we met.

Why do small churches feel the need to attempt to provide large church experiences or services

Jim,

We discussed your question in our leadership retreat. We seem to be headed toward a consensus to try to focus on doing fewer things well. Many of the service opportunities have been brought forward by members rather than suggested by leadership. Serving is one of our core values so we make an honest attempt to follow through. So I don't believe we are attempting to model ourselves after a large church.
