The Moravian Church is a main-line denomination tracing back to John Hus, one of the very earliest Protestant reformers, who was burned at the stake in 1415, well before Calvin and Luther and the better known stars of the Reformation.  His followers persevered and spread over the centuries.

The Moravian Church is in full communion (an agreement of mutual cooperation and recognition) with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and The Episcopal Church.  Worship services include some liturgy and may include music from our own musical traditions as well as traditional Christian hymns and songs.  We also include contemporary music during many worship services.

The Graceham congregation has 200 members.  Those attending come from various backgrounds and include several races and ethnic groups.  The congregation is within commuting distance of Washington DC and thus the membership includes some who travel "down the road" every day to either Washington or Baltimore.

Moravian love feasts (fellowship meals, usually coffee and sugar buns) are a part of services on special occasions.  The congregation has an excellent sense of neighborliness and members work within the larger community to witness to faith in Christ and service to God's children as opportunities permit.

Join your hearts and hands with ours when your path leads near us.
