Helping You Keep The Main Thing The Main Thing
Obviously, as the pastor, I'm a bit biased, but I love our church. Keeping the Main Thing (namely, Christ's death as payment for our sins, and his resurrection which guarantees our new life) the main thing in our teaching, preaching, and daily lives is our priority at Gethsemane. We eagerly invite any of you to come visit us and return to www.churchrater.com to give us your valuable feedback. Thanks and Lord's blessings on your church visits!

Pastor Rob,
It is great to see your desire for others to critic your church. I'm not positive that by giving yourself and your church the best rating available that you have totally grasped the idea of churchrater. As a pastor I come to churchrater hoping to find some new ideas, as well as innovative and creative responses to church service limitations. Perhaps you might be willing to go back and look with a critical eye checking any shortcomings you may wish to address. It could well be that you may have, in passing, heard parishioners share how they see church and how they might approach leading services. I believe all pastors have heard the famous, "A number of people think..." May you and your ministry receive blessings in abundance as you walk with God and His children from here to eternity.

Didn't mean to come across as arrogant or to give the impression that I think our church is the perfect church. But simply meant to give my honest opinion that in spite of its flaws, where I believe it counts most (namely, in preaching and teaching the truth of God's Word) our church (and not just me, but everyone here) does very well. That's not to say there isn't room for improvement. We are always striving to improve in every area and I really am eager to get any feedback that will help us to do that. Thanks for keeping me in check!
In Him,
Rob
Our church is very close-knit. People are always willing to help each other out in God's name. Sermons are interesting, Bible-based and relateable to everyday life.
I moved here about 6 months ago. Everyone welcomed me right away and started inviting me on church outtings. I have made so many friends by attending chuch. Also, the church reminds us why we need a savior and we can't get to heaven by what we do here. The Holy Spirt has to work in you and bring you to faith.
This church is small but has big heart. The pastor is young and very dedicated to teaching and preaching the word. He is devoted to his ministry and followers and always willing to help anyone in need. He truly makes this church what it is and will make you feel right at home.
My husband, daughter and I have been attending Gethsemane since we moved to Raleigh in 2006. We absolutely love it! Everyone made us feel so welcome right from the start! When you come to Gethsemane everyone smiles and talks with you and for us our Church family has become our extended family. Pastor Rob is wonderful and has an amazing gift for helping people understand God's word and relates his sermons to our everyday struggles.
I've been a member for almost 28 years. Our church is warm, friendly, and loving to members, visitors, and neighbors. The church has not been without trials, but the Lord has blessed us with an amazing Pastor and family. The Elders are truly concerned with the overall health and well-being of each member of the church. The entire congregation is an example of what a God-fearing healthy church should be like. Services are now available to anyone that is unable to attend via the web. This is a big plus to me as I am in public safety and have to work hours that make it impossible for me to physically sit in the pew on Sundays. There is a daycare for children and hopes of a school in the near future. I pray that God will continue to bless our church and invite anyone to be a part of those blessings!
