We attended the contemporary service, which runs simultaneously with a main service.
The church was very "churchy." People did not talk to us. We attended there about 4x. Went in and out. I did try to speak to some folks, they were very engaged in their own friend groups.
The band was excellent. The congregation did not really enter in much, it seemed the congregation saw the band as performers rather than than leaders.
The church seems to have a heart for community service. They had several community outreaches going on, and on the calendar.
My children attended the youth group and liked it a lot.

Calvary Baptist Church really has a heart for not only international missions, but missions right in it's backyard. The church is constantly working on outreach opportunities with people in their own community. The pastors are engaging and challenging and there are different services to fit your worship style. The church caters to the traditional and the contemporary worshippers as well as those who fall in between.
The children and youth ministries are phenomenal. They really work with kids and teenagers and have lots of opportunities to get involved and grow in their relationship with Christ. There are numerous opportunities to get involved. Because Calvary is such a large church, you have to try and get involved, and not sit back and watch and wait for someone to find you. They will find you but you have to make the effort as well.
The best thing about Calvary is that they are grounded in the basic principles of Christianity and that is on display everywhere you turn. The pastors hold people accountable and really challenge them to grow in their faith.
I would recommend Calvary to ANYONE. You will NOT be disappointed.
