Caldwell Seventh-day Church
I attended this church a couple of years back and am pleasently surpized by its change. The parking lot stinks it is old and broken up and the church building is older. But the parking lot was newly stripped and full. The building had many changes since I was there before. I was greeted warmly. Though the greeters were both seniors they were very friendly. I went to a Bible study class. It was tagged as a young adult class, there were several 30 somethings in the group. It was a discussion group and yet we dug right into the Bible. The worship service had eight 20-30 year olds leading and it was middle of the road contemporary. There were young families and youth mixed into the congregation which is different than when I went last. The sermon blew me away. It was on becoming a disciple. I thought I had heard all of that, but the background the pastor presented from the Bible was warm, fresh and moving, I left wanting to be closer to God. What an incredible change.

FRIENDLY
Very friendly church. Kids liked the early Bible classes. My teenager loved the youth leader. For the worship service, the music was well done. They had trumpets, and other instruments playing with piano and organ. They played a blend of hymns and praise songs. The sermon was from the Old Testament about God restoring the years the locusts had taken. But the sermon was very practical and lots of application. My one major complaint is that the PA was not functioning well, mike cut out a few times. After church there was a vegetarian mean provided. Altogether Excellant!
