Brookfield Lutheran

Went to both traditional and not-traditional service. Actually found the traditional one better for some reason. Sermon in both cases was ok.  People were friendly to me,  though i felt it would be hard to be different there. This despite the fact that for a predominantly white church they have a black pastor. I got more of a sense that being a chrisitan, middle class and liking christian music and christian things where keys to getting friends in this church. I guess these things arent bad in of themselves and the area around the church is not too disimalar from this but would your average atheist have anything to do with this place? It only offers what the rest of wisconsin does- with a side order of forgivness and morality.  Probably being too harsh on the place but this is how i felt, that it was just another church. Which of course could be ok:) or maybe churches these days or missing something in which case being just another church is not ok.
