This was the worst church experience I think I have ever had! The people were VERY unfriendly, the pastor literally screamed his message at us, and the music was very awkward and not seeker friendly. The message was about how the church needed millions of dollars for some building project and there was nothing about the mission of the church. Basically a give us all of your money message. Not a pleasant experience. Church is about more than money and having the best buildings and programs!

There was a special speaker the Sunday that we attended. The congregation members were all very friendly. The service was very structured and liturgical. The service had a main "theme" and the songs, scripture readings, and message were all based on that theme. We felt very comfortable at this church. It is a bit out of the way, but worth the drive.

This was a very impressive church. We didn't experience any fake friendliness and the service was amazing. The pastor's sermon had a way of drawing you in and it felt like you were actually walking and talking with Jesus. He did have a call to salvation that was very unique and not one that made us feel pressured. One of the best worship experiences I have had in a long time.

Sad to say, but nobody bothered to talk to us. The church is extremely small, so we definitely stuck out as visitors. The "front" door was difficult to find and was not well lit. When you enter the sanctuary, you enter from the front, so if you are late everyone gets to see you walk in and walk across the front to find a seat. The worship was very awkward because there were no words provided. There were a lot of kids which was a positive sign. The service we attended had a missions emphasis and the pastor did not speak.

My husband and I were really able to connect at this church. Everyone was really friendly, but we didn't feel pressure to give out our name and address. Everyone was very upbeat and excited to be at church. The worship was very relevant and did not contain vague theological terms or ideas. The speaker left us with a challenge to make our families better - and it was useful for all people!

John, To answer your question, my husband and I were first time guests. It was a wonderful experience and we will probably continue to explore Calvary Chapel.

Jim, I am a regular attender of a church, just not this one. I actually attended this church for a school project. Honestly, I chose this church because I got lost while trying to find a different...
