The pastor isn't perfect and doesn't claim to be, but speaks truth even when people don't want to hear it. The worship leader is unbelievably talented, but the worship service is about God and not about her talent or her performance. The people are flawed, imperfect, struggling, confused, warm, loving, and friendly. It's a small enough body that it's easy to become familiar with just about everyone. Whenever I miss a few Sundays, they all notice I haven't been there. It's human-sized, warm, and God-centered.
