Someone just posted a comment on CatE and gave this as their website: Powerful Church Websites.

I’m sure there’s a cost associated with using their services - but not to worry, I expect the church will be able to recoup their costs with the handy “e-offering” feature:

e-Offering:

Easy online tithe and offering payment system. Essentially this will be a 24 hour offering plate that will cater and convenience the increasing cashless and checkless society attending your services.

I think they’ll have a hard time selling their services to this church, though…

Yeah, my church had to hire help for our website, too. We didn’t use these guys, but ….

One of the biggest problems with church websites is that they tend not to pay attention to keeping them current. At least the smaller churches (like the one I attend) don’t. To me, if you’re going to have a website at all, keep it up to date. Even if you can’t spend much money on it, regardless of the hipness of it, it should have CURRENT information. Yes, small churches can’t do something very flashy, but whatever they do, they can at least do well.

This cartoon reminded me of another one I saw on tithing … these two priests of a human sacrifice religion are standing over the altar of their latest sacrifice, and one says to the other … “well, it does explain the drop-off in giving”

that system actually helps out a lot. i think it’ll help with the younger generation that is used to handling all their money electronically, and whenever it’s convenient. i never carry cash or even a check book any more. did you see those kiosks and atm machines that they are bringing into churches now? i guess, we better get on the ball with the tithe and offerings, other wise we’ll be broke cause i always forget to bring my money.

I believe they use templates from template monster. It’s a good option for small churches and/or church plants.
